Does Grok Bot usage count toward the SuperGrok weekly limit?
Updated
No. xAI's 2026-08-26 announcement says 'Grok Bot comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans', and the Grok Bot docs state 'Usage resets weekly.' It is included with paid individual Cursor plans, or by linking a SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy subscription; with both, 'Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage'. xAI publishes no per-plan numbers. The Grok chat pool is separate and resets weekly on the schedule shown in Settings → Usage.

How it is counted
Grok Bot has its own allowance. The xAI news post of 2026-08-26 says 'Grok Bot comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans, so anything you hand off to a Bot won't count against your existing usage.' The docs add that 'Grok Bot subscriptions include weekly usage; eligible accounts can add on-demand usage billed from model and token cost', and simply that 'Usage resets weekly.'
Access comes through Cursor or SuperGrok. The overview says Grok Bot is included with every paid individual Cursor plan and with the Cursor Teams plan, or by linking an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy subscription. 'If you have both a Cursor and a SuperGrok subscription, Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage.' On 2026-08-26 the @bot account posted 'All SuperGrok and Cursor Pro subscribers now have access to Grok Bot. We're also resetting weekly usage limits for all users.' That kind of account-wide reset is what this board records for Grok.
xAI publishes no numbers, and this site does not estimate them. When usage is exhausted or an on-demand spending limit is reached, the docs say to 'review usage and billing from the account access page or Usage & Billing'. The Grok chat pool is a different thing: it 'resets every week on a schedule shown in the Usage tab in Settings', paid features pause 'until your weekly limit resets', and Extra Usage Credits 'are used after your plan's included weekly usage is exhausted'.
