Grok Bot usage limits
Updated
xAI publishes no numbers for Grok usage limits on any plan. What is documented is the shape: paid Grok plans share one weekly pool across Chat, Imagine, Voice and Build that "resets every week on a schedule shown in the Usage tab in Settings", and Grok Bot has its own pool where "Usage resets weekly". The docs describe no five-hour window. The last account-wide Grok reset on this board was announced Sep 5, 2026.

What are the limits on each plan?
xAI documents a single weekly pool per plan and no five-hour window, so every cell reads "Not published"; the notes say what the docs do describe.

How the windows work
For the Grok app, xAI’s FAQ describes a single pool: "Different products cost different amounts depending on how much compute that product requires", and "The usage pool limit resets every week on a schedule shown in the Usage tab in Settings". When it is met, "paid features will pause until your weekly limit resets", while the free-tier Chat and Voice limits stay available on their own schedule.
Grok Bot is metered separately. Since 2026-08-26 it is included with SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy and paid Cursor plans and "comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans". Its docs say "Usage resets weekly" and that subscriptions "include weekly usage; eligible accounts can add on-demand usage billed from model and token cost". If both a Cursor and a SuperGrok plan are linked, it "uses whichever has more usage".
The docs point to two places to check: the Grok app shows the pool and its reset time under Settings → Usage, and Grok Bot’s troubleshooting page says to "review usage and billing from the account access page or Usage & Billing". Account-wide resets are announced on @grok and @bot; on 2026-08-13 @grok also told users to "Use a reset token from settings in Grok on desktop or mobile".
Over the last 4 resets the gap between resets ranged from 4.1 to 28.8 days; there is no fixed schedule.

FAQ
Does Grok have a 5-hour window like Codex or Claude Code?
xAI’s documentation describes one weekly pool for paid Grok plans and a separate weekly pool for Grok Bot; it does not describe a five-hour window. The table above therefore shows "Not published" in the five-hour column for every plan rather than a number this site made up. Your own reset time is in Settings → Usage in the Grok app.
How much usage does SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy include per week?
xAI has not published a number. The pricing page describes SuperGrok as "Higher rate limits across all features" and SuperGrok Plus as "Significantly higher usage across Chat, Imagine, Voice & Build"; the Heavy tier’s price text was not captured in the snapshot read when this page was verified. The pool resets weekly on the schedule shown in Settings → Usage.
Does Grok Bot usage count against my SuperGrok or Cursor plan?
No. xAI’s announcement says Grok Bot "comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans, so anything you hand off to a Bot won't count against your existing usage". Its usage resets weekly, and if both plans are linked Grok Bot "uses whichever has more usage".
What does an official Grok reset look like?
It is announced on @grok or @bot; for example on 2026-08-26, when Grok Bot was extended to all SuperGrok and Cursor Pro subscribers, @bot added "We're also resetting weekly usage limits for all users." Each reset on the board above links to its post. xAI does not announce resets in advance, and this site does not promise a time.
